Our parish has been undergoing some significant renovations recently and remains vibrantly involved in community activities. From the fish fry in the summer to the Journey to Bethlehem in early December we are an important part of Mindemoya's faith life.

We also have religious education classes for our youngsters on Tuesdays after school, plus special liturgies where children are involved.

This parish community is centred on our church which was opened 41 years ago, in 1966. We keep on growing.

The interior of the church is being transformed through the efforts of volunteers into a more welcoming and integrated worship space. At the back an addition to the building adds a new storage room and sacristy.

This famous pageant takes place every year on the first weekend of December. Through this and other ecumenical events, our Lady of Canada is a dynamic member of the Christian community in the centre of Manitoulin.

Bill Taylor has been co-ordinating the work in the entire renovation project.

Catholics of Mindemoya and the whole of central Manitoulin are encouraged to attend and participate in our parish activities.
